John Cooper and Mike Kushy. Kushy there by 12.30 and did an hour on the breaker before John arrived at 13.30. Got changed and then hauled 43 loads out, mainly rocks but some mud. John then at the bottom with the breaker for a while. Finally an extra 15 minutes with Kushy on the breaker. John then hauled out more spoil to give a total of 70 loads for the day. Finished 17.30. 4 hours for John, 5 for Kushy. John.

John Cooper and Mike Kushy. Called in at White Rabbit to collect 3 empty Daren Drums. Descended TempleTwin to see what was left after last night’s bang. A couple of large rocks which needed P/Fs. Kushy arrived so he went down with drill while I hauled up the fragments, must have been about 20 loads. Once most of the spoil had been cleared got out the breaker and Kushy created more spoil. Then we cleared another 40 loads before calling it a day. Filled the 3 drums with sand and returned them to White Rabbit. A couple of heavy showers while we worked but nothing too serious. 3½ hours. John.

Wednesday 27th August 2025

Afternoon. John Cooper and Mike Kushy. Cleared most of the spoil left at the bottom. Some of the larger boulders broken up with P/Fs. Now needs the breaker again to widen out the bottom section.  Next time best not to choose a Wednesday afternoon when the generator is filling the hole with fumes. 2 hours. John.

Evening. Mike Kushy and Mike Waterworth. Supervised set up for MW. 12gm in 5 holes @ 500mm deep, 8 inches apart and following the already breakered out crescent shape. Very succesful and a good metre depth of slab peeled off. With MW hauling and MK filling we cleared as much as time would allow, 20 buckets, but still big boulders in the floor to be downsized. MW did a lidar video scan of the pit, our depth is just shy of 6m. 3 hours. Mike K.

Mike Kushy and Ed Ford. MK to begin with, set up the breaker and cables and got the genny going. MK did abut half hour on the breaker then EF took over. MK left EF to do breaker work and filled up some sacks of sand to go to White Rabbit. These were put in the lockbox and 2 bags of cement were taken up to Templetwin from WR. EF and MK took turns to breaker the pit and it looks double the width now almost all the way down, a good evenings clearing to be had. A bulge of rock came out from under the steel at the northern end, this needs extra pins put under one side of the lowest steel now as it's barely hanging on so caution advised. 3 hours. Mike.
